When will I get paid?
Distribution & Publishing payout timelines explained.
Music & Video Distribution:
We issue monthly statements whenever you've earned at least $5! Because music streaming platforms report sales on a delay, our statements and payouts lag by 1 to 2 months. Most services take about 3 months from your release date to deliver your first earnings report.
Key Breakdown of What You Need to Know:
Minimum Threshold: $5
Schedule: Monthly (if threshold is met)
Reporting Delay: 1–2 months processing time
First Earnings Timeline: ~3 months post-release
Publishing Admin:
Unlike Music & Video Distribution, there are no minimums for both statements and earnings to be reported. However, like Music & Video Distribution, there are delays in reporting. Each department in publishing (Performance Royalty Organizations, Mechanical Licensing Companies and International Publishers) all have different delays in which they payout their royalties to us. Here’s a breakdown of each category’s typical timeline of reports.
Key Breakdown of What You Need to Know:
Minimum Threshold: $0
Schedule: Quarterly
Reporting Delay:
Performance Royalty & Mechanical Royalty Organizations: (US only): ~ 3 months after registration for songs we register. Nine months if we direct PROs after songs were originally registered by another publishing admin prior to us.
Performance Royalty & Mechanical Royalty Organizations (International only): 3 quarters if we have both registered the song(s) and if we direct both organizations after songs were originally registered by both categories.
First Earnings Timeline: ~3 months post-release
